Overview

Our activities fall into three core program areas:

Professional Concerts

All Chinese Music Concerts, showcasing exceptional Chinese composers, instruments, performers, and themes

International Composition Competition, soliciting original works inspired by a Chinese cultural theme from composers worldwide

Young Artist Development

Annual Music Festival in Honor of Confucius, encouraging young musicians to learn Chinese music on western and/or Chinese instruments

The Barbara Tiao Competition, awarding promising young composers at the Shanghai and Beijing Conservatories

Community Engagement

Annual large-scale Multi-Disciplinary Events at high profile public venues such as the Adler Planetarium, Art Institute, Chicago Cultural Center, and Millennium Park

Young Artist Ensemble Concerts at local community centers

Through these core programs, we inspire young artists and professionals to explore and expand their experience beyond western arts, enriching their awareness of China’s cultural heritage.
