Violin Division

Register for the 2024 Music Festival in Honor of Confucius here 

Please note: Age eligibility for all divisions is determined by the contestant’s age as of September 28, the birthday of Confucius.

Age categories, performance times, and scholarship amounts:

Division sponsors and scholarships:

  • The first place award for Violin Senior Division is donated by family and friends of Patrick Sim in his memory
  • The first place award for Violin Junior II is named in memory of Mr. Fu Shen

Repertoire requirements: 1 piece from the pre-selected list of Chinese repertoire (see below), and 1 piece of the contestant’s choice.

Please remember, copyright law makes it mandatory for you to own original copies of your music, which can either be purchased through CFAS or through a music store of your choosing.
