The 8 Tones (Silk)

The first installment of the 8 Tones: An Exploration series, Silk will explore instruments such as the guzheng, erhu, and pipa. In collaboration with Roosevelt University, the concert will featured faculty from the Shengyang Conservatory in China, as well as Roosevelt University professors. In a rare appearance, the Shenyang Conservatory will bring a Kong Hou, a harp-like instrument that consists of two sets of strings that make a unique, resonant sound. 

The concert is free and open to the public.
