Join CFAS, The Chicago Philharmonic, and The Chinese American Museum of Chicago for a panel discussion on the works of composer Tan Dun, and a performance by the Sound of Wishes Ensemble.

This panel discussion is in advance of the Chicago Philharmonic’s January 14 Symphonic Series concert, featuring the North American Premiere of Tan Dun’s Concerto for Guitar and Orchestra (Yi2) with legendary classical guitarist Sharon Isbin.

Learn more about the concert and buy tickets here.

Leading the discussion is multi-Grammy Award winning classical guitarist Sharon Isbin, who commissioned Yi2 and worked extensively with Tan Dun. Pipa Virtuoso Yang Wei, and rising star cello virtuoso Joshua Roman, who will perform Tan Dun’s Crouching Tiger Concerto, also joins. The conversation will be moderated by Chicago Philharmonic Artistic Director Scott Speck.

The panel discussion is a free event. There are limited spots available, so please reserve your spot at this link.
