World Music Wednesday: Chinese Lunar New Year Concert 

Kick off the celebrations with an evening concert featuring zhong ruan artist Tzu-Tsen Wu’s projects including the Jade Chinese Music Ensemble, Ruan and Hide, with special guest Tamir Hargana. Advanced ticket reservations recommended.

Chinese New Year Celebration at the Field Museum

Ring in Chinese New Year at the Field museum with lion dance, music and dance. Kids can enjoy interactive music and movement performances by Ruan and Hide in the Play Lab on Saturday, and Lantern Making Activities on Sunday!

Lantern Festival Celebration

Close out the Chinese New Year season as Preston Bradley Hall is transformed into a lively Chinese marketplace featuring lion dance, music, dance and more by some of Chicago’s most illustrious performers, and enjoy food, calligraphy, puppets, a selfie booth, trinkets and more.
