We’ve dedicated over 30 years to introducing youth to the sounds and colors of Chinese music – join us this year for the 34th Music Festival in Honor of Confucius on Sunday, November 24 at the Studebaker Theater. We have a new venue, new format, new student benefits, and so much more!
This year, applicants will send in a preliminary video audition, and finalists from each age group and division will be selected to perform in a live finalists round on November 24. Winners will perform again that afternoon on the Winners’ Recital and Awards Ceremony, and all applicants are invited to join us to be acknowledged, recieve certificates, and prizes!
As part of the music festival, fun, free, family-friendly events will happen throughout the Fine Arts Building on Sunday, November 24. Crossing Borders Music’s String Trio will perform music of East and Southeast Asia, followed by a masterclass featuring competition entrants, and there will be tours of the William Harris Lee and Co. string instrument workshop, a Confucius photo booth, and so much more!
