Overview

As many of our events are open to the public and free of charge, we rely on a broad base of private and public financial support to deliver our programming. Some of our most significant government, corporate and foundation supporters are the Illinois Arts Council, CityArts, the Chicago Tribune Foundation, TECO, Harimoto, Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation, and Barbara And Barre Seid Foundation. Matching grants are received from corporate and individual donations through the United Way. We are proud of these associations, which indicate that our efforts are recognized not only by government agencies, but also by leaders of the business community. Individual support is epitomized by the series of eponymous scholarships in the MFHC competition. For aspiring professional musicians, CFAS has secured a number of private donations to fund annual scholarships to the winner of a competition in their names.
