The Chinese Fine Arts Society (CFAS) was founded in 1984 as a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the education and promotion of the Chinese cultural arts.
QiXi is a major production involving hundreds of performers and a great deal of behind-the-scenes work. There are many ways that you can help us to support this effort and enable the Chinese Fine Arts Society to continue to deliver high quality programs to the community!
1) Enter our Drawing to Win!
Round Trip Main Cabin Air Transportation to Beijing or Shanghai for two, courtesy of American Airlines, will be raffled at the QiXi After Party, which will be at the Chicago Cultural Center’s Preston Bradley Hall immediately following the performance! You do not need to be present to win.
Air transportation is valid for one year. Minors who are declared winners must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Other rules apply. Contact CFAS for complete Terms and Conditions.
2) Check out our kickstarter site, where you view an amazing 3 minute video of last year’s performance.
We hope that you will become inspired to donate anything from $5 to $5000 to become an official backer of QiXi and receive a variety of enticing backer rewards!
Thanks again for your support!
3) Come to the QiXi afterparty!
Thought you would only be able to see Niulang and Zhinu together again only once? This year, you can catch the stars together once more at the Qi Xi after party following the performance! Mingle with the Qi Xi cast, enjoy tasty themed hors d’oeuvres, and enter in the raffle for round trip air transportation to Shanghai or Beijing for two courtesy of American Airlines!
The event will be held at Preston Bradley Hall in the Chicago Cultural Center on August 22 from 4:30-6:30, immediately following the QiXi performance in Millennium Park. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for children at the CFAS store or $15 for adults and $7 for children at the door.
We hope to see you there!
4) Donate to CFAS!
If none of these options sound appealing, you can support us by simply mailing a donation to:
