CFAS is excited to return once again to Preston Bradley Hall for the 23rd Annual All Chinese Music Concert dedicated to the memory of CFAS founder, Barbara Tiao.

The concert highlights established and emerging Chinese-American composers including Migratory Journeys International Composition Competition winners Chen Yao and Tonia Ko. This is the third concert in the Migratory Journeys Concert Series.

The program will include selections from:

  • Tan Dun: Seven Desires for Guitar
  • Chen Yao: Yearning
  • Huang Ruo: Book of the Forgotten
  • Zhou Long: Tai Ping Gu
  • Lei Liang: A Journey into Desire
  • Chou Wen Chung: The Willows Are New
  • Bright Sheng: Tibetan Dance
  • Tonia Ko: Moon Lullaby

Featured performers are Yuan-Qing Yu, Violin; Catherine Brubaker, Viola; Ken Olsen, Cello; Daniel Armstrong, Doublebass; Kuang-Hao Huang, Piano; Scott Hostetler, Oboe; Lawrie Bloom, Clarinet; Cynthia Yeh, Percussion; YuQi Deng, Zheng; and You Wang, Guitar
