

Thanks to all who came to listen to our concert on May 16 in Preston Bradley Hall! This eclectic FREE concert showcased traditional and contemporary chamber music for piano, strings, woodwinds, percussion, erhu, and chorus.
The program included works by award-winning composers Chen Yi and Vivian Fung, and the world premiere of 2009 Julia Liu Composition Competition Winner “Away” by Yang Qing. Special Guests Performers included the Fulcrum Point New Music Project musicians Stephen Burns, trumpet; Jeff Handley, percussion and Brandon Podjasek, percussion. The concert also featured: Gerald Carey, flute; Katherine Jui Chang, piano; David Cunliffe, cello; Alexander Li, Erhu; Desiree Ruhstrat, violin, Marta Aznavoorian, piano, Shirley Trissell, piano and the CFAS Chorus, Rita Lopienski conducting.
